The Fraternal Order of Police National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service is a solemn and sacred tradition, held each May in Washington, D.C. as part of National Police Week. This service stands as a tribute to the men and women of law enforcement who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

 

It is important to note that this ceremony is not funded by the federal government. The National Peace Officers' Memorial Service is made possible through the efforts of numerous volunteers and the generous donations made by corporate sponsors and individuals. Donations for the National Peace Officers' Memorial Service, and the National Honor Guard Competition, can be made through the Grand Lodge FOP Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) organization.
